Sandvik appoints new Country Manager for India

Parag Satpute has been appointed as the new Country Manager, India at Sandvik Asia. Satpute will be based at the company?s India headquarters at Pune. Commenting on the appointment, Olof Faxander, President and CEO, Sandvik Group said, ?India is an important country and part of Sandvik?s emerging market strategy. Satpute will continue to develop and further accelerate our growth plans in the Indian market. He has the appropriate acumen to take our Indian organisation forward?.

New CFO and EVP at Sandvik Group

Mats Backman has been appointed Executive Vice President and CFO of Sandvik and member of the Group Executive Management, effective 1 October 2013. Mats Backman is currently Vice President Finance, IT and Business Development for the business area Sandvik Machining Solutions.

Good progress for Sandvik

According to Sandvik?s President and CEO Olof Faxander, overall demand remained favourable in the second quarter of the year for the majority of Sandvik?s customer segments.

Emil Nilsson has been appointed Executive Vice President & CFO of Sandvik Group and member of Group Executive Management. He succeeds Ola Salm?n, who will leave Sandvik for other opportunities.
